Our Wonderful, Heavenly Father

I come to You with prayer for myself and for others like me. We know the wonders of Your love, Your mercy and Your grace. We are changed men and our ways are more bent to following You than the world. But now that we have decided to follow, and we know that You know how to lead, we have a request.

Teach us to love others as You love us.

Open our hearts to the fullness of Your love. Fill us with it completely. Let us walk in love, kindness, charity, selflessness.

We miss the mark Father, We know because by revealing Your son, You have shown us what the mark is. Sometimes we are so far off we don't even hit the target.

We know it has all got to come from inside. That's where we met You when we came to You in repentance some time ago. But where has it gone? Some days it feels like we love no one and no one loves us, except in truth, we know You love us, always will.

Alienation and isolation seem to plague our time here on this earth. Why? Especially why when Your love doesn't breed those things at all.

Father, on this Father's day, here I am. I love You because I know You love me. Let me spread Your love around.
