Sunrise

Driving to work one morning this week, looking up into the western sky I saw the moon big, round and shiny. The sky around in was shaded of dark blue and purple. Slowly the shades were becoming lighter.

On the eastern horizon I saw some oranges and reds intermingled with some streaks of purple. The sun was just peeking up a tad. The higher it rose the more the colors turned to pastels.

The power of GOD is such that He didn't have to doing anything except speak and things happened. It didn't take years of research, planning and development. He simply said, "let there be" and there was, and He saw that it was good. Such quiet unassuming yet stark power has to be humbling.

He made things in an orderly fashion. From the first thing He created and everything that followed was to allow man to not only live but to prosper on the Earth. Man has all that He has ever needed and wanted by the Word of GOD. It's complete. Nothing was left out. How can we not be in awe, not be thankful, not be humbled by the Creator? All things attest to Him. Even the vary air we breath came out of the mouth of GOD.

Driving north on nine-mile road isn't the first time I have been blessed and astounded by just who GOD is or what he does. Our first arrival in Oklahoma coming across from I-35, He welcomed us with this majestic sunset that made me want to stop and just want to gaze at it for awhile. Another time, standing in a foxhole during Desert Storm, I was reminded each morning of who was really in charge by glorious sunrises.

The Bible says, "In the beginning GOD created the heavens and the Earth". I think it's also the beginning for a Christian when GOD creates love in his or her heart. Sometimes we forget just who He is and stop taking the time to look for those beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Maybe because we have parts of our hearts that are formless and in darkness. We don't let the Son rise or set there.

Let the Creator of all things also the author and finisher of your life. Give Him complete control to make it beautiful through His Word. Let Him paint sunrises that will not only blow you away but will be also excite others. Let Him put you to rest with marvelous sunsets that will make all other things to include your worries seem insignificant.

Take time to see yourself as His creation and dedicate yourself to the purpose He has given you for when He created you, He saw that what He had did was good.
